Did someone say international collab? You heard that right our very own Msiz’kay is hanging out with international artists and bringing us a banger track titled Happy. The track is by Brazilian artists Fancy Inc, Drunky Daniel’s, Vintage Culture and features our very own Msizkay. The track and video dropped on Friday 20 November 2020 on YouTube.
Happy is as the word describes, it’s a happy track, full of positive vibes and smiles throughout. The track and video are decorated with positive vibes and having a good time. There’s smiles all round and a great vibe around this song. The track talks about being hurt and finding someone new to love and make you find hope in love again.
The work done on the instrumentals is great. That coupled with Msizkay’s vocals equals stellar work. The mix of house music and an African voice? You cannot go wrong. As usual Msizkay did not disappoint, he came and he delivered and proved to fans once again that he’s good at what he does. The mixing and production on the track is amazing, it steps up the ambiance of the production.
Msizkay sings, “How many times has your heart been broken?/ How many times has your trust been stolen?/ I see pain in your eyes when you talk about your life,/ I understand where you’re coming from,/ Why you’re so afraid of love?/ But baby I’m different,/ This time will be different,/ Say goodbye to the sadness,/ I will be your joy in this lonely world,/ If you let me I can make you happy.” Msiz’kay is saying love can and will make you happy. No matter what form it takes. And we all deserve and want to find joy, it doesn’t matter who you are.
The beauty of this video is in the subjects. It was shot in the streets of a vibrant Bulawayo and the Visuals By Corey did not disappoint. The shots capture the true essence of people in Bulawayo, beauty and happiness. There’s beautiful smiles and beautiful people in their element doing what they do best in their city. Msiz’kay features in the video as the main character, singing and dancing through the streets making everyone smile. You can feel the good energy radiating from the video. When love is in you it spreads to those around you.
