Takura Cries ‘Mufaro Uchauya Mangwanani.’

Being born and raised a Zimbabwean is a blessing not a lot of people get the priviledge to experience. But like any other, Zimbabweans have gone through a lot of pain and suffering.

In light of recent events artists have taken to the studio to make their contributions with artists such as Asaph and Takura releasing new powerful tracks.

Takura released a track titled ‘Mufaro’ which means Happiness and it comes at a time when Zimbabweans thirst for a beacon of hope.

The artists sings “Mufaro uchauya mangwanani/ Waka pona kangani/ Mwari anoziva zviri mukati/ Ndiye anoziva zvese,” which loosely translates to “Happiness will come in the morning, how many times have you survived? God knows what is inside you and He knows it all.”

Mufaro is a mix of gospel and reggae coupled with Takura’s commanding voice. The track is an extract from of the artist’s upcoming EP titled, Star Signs.

He has made a name for himself in Zim’s music industry and it is refreshing to hear a different sound  and once again he has made a beautiful piece of art that speaks volumes to fans and any Zimbabwean who listens to his music. Takura has proven that music can unite the young, the old, rich or poor.
