Seasons Change By Lee-Anne Russell

We spoke all night, every night of that summer
But when the winter came, we became preoccupied with keeping ourselves warm
You had to keep yourself safe and so did I
Conversations became strained
Forced sometimes
Slowly but surely you let go
Slowly but surely I loosened my grip
Until one day we finally ran out of things to say.

iNgudukazi Magazine is a publication for the African woman. We know she is a jewel and a fountain of wisdom and we would like to celebrate her reverence. For the culture of woman.
