Every woman knows the importance of finding that perfect stylist, someone who gets your hair and your needs. After two years of searching in Harare (I’ve been a hairstylist nomad), I finally booked an appointment with Sandie, a braider I discovered on TikTok, and let me tell you, it was love at first braid.
The salon is located conveniently in the city centre at Shoppers City Mall found on Corner First and Nelson Mandela Avenue, Shop D1, next to Bestzone Pharmacy. My first impression? Immaculate. Stepping into the salon, was a breath of fresh air – literally, thanks to the powerful air conditioning (a lifesaver in this heatwave!). Hygiene is paramount for me, so I was relieved to find the salon spotlessly clean from top to bottom. Fresh, clean towels were a welcome sight, The setup is chic and inviting, making the whole experience luxurious.
One thing I learned the hard way: listen to your stylist! I arrived with hair extensions that weren’t quite right for the style I wanted. Thankfully, Sandie and Cynthia her assistant were total pros. Cynthia prepped my hair with a whole wash and blowout. She didn’t hesitate to walk me to the hair shop next door to find the perfect extensions. We even had to swap colours because what I wanted wasn’t available. Throughout the process, she was patient, helpful, and professional. They go the extra mile for their clients, ensuring we leave happy, satisfied and with exactly what we wanted.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: my hair! Sandie created the goddess braids I envisioned, and they are flawless. The experience itself was relaxing and enjoyable. There was no loud music or chatter, just tranquillity and pampering.
I can’t recommend getting your hair done by Sandie enough. From the beautiful space to the exceptional service and, of course, her amazing braiding skills, it’s a hair haven. If you’re searching for a top-notch braider in Harare, look no further than Sandie – you won’t be disappointed!
