Remember it’s just one day and being single doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate love and happiness.

Valentine’s Day is about love. It doesn’t have to be just about couples, but you shouldn’t be a Grinch about it either. If you love yourself, then this day is about you too! Valentine’s for singles, is an opportunity for some self-celebration and good vibes.
Let’s get in to a few ideas about what you can spend your Valentine’s day doing. Embrace self love, self love isn’t selfish.
Stay off social media: Tjo! If your heart is not strong. It’s best you stay off social media to avoid getting triggered. This is an opportunity for you to take a dopamine fast. It’s good for your health anyway. Give the timelines ample time to clean themselves and reset to regular programming.
Dress for success: Don’t look like your problems. Wake up on Valentine’s Day and look sickening in your best red outfit. Who doesn’t look gorgeous in red?
Have a spa day at home: Especially if you’re always on the go and work and other commitments always have you in a choke hold. Pamper yourself with a luxurious bubble bath (if you know there’s water shedding that week fill an extra bucket or two) you deserve this babes.
Spoil yourself: Get yourself that outfit, that pair of shoes, that bag you’ve been eyeing do something for yourself that you wouldn’t normally do. If you’re on a diet let it be your cheat day. Do something for you!
Solo date: Hold on, I didn’t say you have to go out to a fancy restaurant. You could just make a gourmet dinner for yourself, light some candles, play some music and enjoy that romantic atmosphere by yourself.
Get creative: If you’re an arts and crafts person, this one’s for you. Work on a creative project that you’ve been neglecting like painting, sculpting, writing, creating content or singing.
Solo adventure: You could embark on a solo trip or outing. Do some activities, hike, bike or simply enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Movie marathon: Grab your favourite snacks and just make a date with you and your couch and just binge watch movies/series that you haven’t gotten around to watching.
Host a game night: If you have single friends or family, invite them over to enjoy a board game and just let loose. Misery isn’t the only one that loves company. Make a thing of Valentine’s for singles.
Do what feels good for you, don’t feel pressured to follow any expectations and remember it’s just one day and being single doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate love and happiness.
Have an awesome Valentine’s Day, single or not!
