New day, new music. Joy Rukanza aka JØY has released her debut single and official video for the track titled ‘New Day’. The track features hip hop artist Kid X.
We all love love and you can never go wrong with a love song. New Day will place you deep in your feels. Produced by Murphy Cubic and The Boy Phanas, the track is about professing your feelings to the one you love. Letting them know you want to love them till the end. 
Joy sings, “I wanna love ya, like the first love at sunrise,/I wanna love ya like my heart has never been hurt,” Kid X raps, “The only way to love is to first love yourself,/ real love don’t cost a thing.” Relatable and simple facts!
The video was directed by Onkabetse Mtshweni with Twinner on editing and grading. The visuals are refreshing. The bright colors and outfits caught my eye instantly. Aesthetically it’s gorgeous. This coupled with the songstress, it’s a dream. The shots along with the choice of filters are great. Visually the video embodies the idea of a new day. Calm and bright.
