Mimmie has an angelic voice and her performance on First Love is gorgeous. The video is amazing. Everything makes sense and fits perfectly. First Love is all about knowing that your significant other is yours. The assurance that comes with being secure and being in love with isthandwa sakho. Whether you know the feeling or you don’t, you’ll fall in love with this song.
The visuals are on point. Marcus (black ink creates) put in 110% into it. The shots are amazing, not to mention the people in the video. Marcus did justice. The scenes shot in nature? Chef’s kiss. Everything is just right. From the colors, to the motions, even the sun showed up for this one. It gives off soft life vibes, you know nice things.
Minnie sings, “Ungowami sthandwa sami,/ Everytime we kiss and everytime we hug,/ I keep saying to myself that he’s the one,/ Everytime we meet our hearts beat in sync,/ If this love is just a dream then let me sleep,/ Ngiyakuthanda we my darling,/ Ngiyakufuna oh honey,/ Ngiyazifela ngawe baby,/ Ngithanda wena wedwa, you’re my first love.” (You’re my baby…I love you my darling, I want you honey.) Honestly you need to hear Minnie singing it to understand the depth of the words and her voice. Love songs are a weakness.
First Love is wholesome, it makes you feel the feels. Ngiyayithanda lengoma. It’s undoubtedly amazing. Check out Minnie’s First Love below.
