Tribe of Influencers launches a project for Zimbabwean YouTubers

The Tribe of Influencers has launched the Bukela/Bukeka project to showcase Zimbabwean YouTubers.

The Bukela/Bukeka project will consist of the very best in Zimbabwean YouTubers’ content on one website. This will allow viewers to find local Zimbabwean YouTube content in one place.

Bukela means to watch and Bukeka means to be watched/admired. This is the fundamental basis of the YouTube industry. Not just to be watched but to create content worth watching,” explained Sindiso Maiswa from the Tribe of Influencers.

Recently, Jah Prayzah received his YouTube plaque and this sparked social media influencers such as Angie Manda, Dereck Mpofu, Eve Blair and Nigel Ndlovu to start Zimbabwean YouTuber threads which allowed YouTubers to post their channel links and subscribe to each other’s channels in an effort to mutually grow their audiences.

When we saw how many YouTubers needed a place to congregate and mingle with one another, that’s when we thought the Bukela/Bukeka project would be beneficial to them. We wanted them to be more discoverable to the audience,” said Odius Chibaya, the Business Development Manager for Tribe of Influencers.

Some content creators have managed to make a living from just creating content for YouTube. However, monetizing your YouTube channel is hard work because you need to accumulate 4000 watch hours and 1000 subscribers before you can be eligible for monetization. This is why it is crucial for audiences to support YouTubers by liking, subscribing, commenting and sharing their videos

All the views made on the Bukela/Bukeka website have a direct impact on the YouTube channel’s traffic. This website has not stolen any content, it is just an automated feed of the enlisted YouTube channels. If it has been viewed on the website, it equates to the video being viewed directly on YouTube. Having your channel listed on the website increases your chances of tapping into a new audience with an interest in Zimbabwean content.

The website is a subdomain of the Tribe of Influencers website and is powered by Nivacity. Due to the automation processes of the website, it required more server resources which Nivacity has provided. The channels are categorized under 31 categories which makes it easier to find the content you are searching for. The widgets allow you to view the videos most interacted with and you can binge watch all your favourite topics on the curated playlists made available on the website. Don’t forget to like, share and subscribe to the content you enjoy.
