Bulawayo’s music scene is growing day by day with artists producing masterpieces. Our portfolio is looking better and better. To add on to that portfolio we’ve got Jungle Worldwide’s latest work titled ‘Real N**gas Need Love Too’. R.N.N.L.T is a hip hop/ rap EP consisting of 6 tracks. The overall theme of this EP is love, finding balance and self.
From the start, R.N.N.L.T sets the tone for the EP. Despite it being a hip hop/ rap project, it also gives off RnB soul type of vibes. It has a surprisingly soothing effect.
Hold It Down enters with some smooth vocals from Tribe Village’s Lucien, which is perfectly matched with Jungle’s verse. He expresses his love to his woman he would hold it down for but seemingly she’s not ready for that, “Changed my ways for you, and you not ready now.”
On fade away, Jungle went all in. The flow is articulate. His verse is laid over New Edition’s Can You Stand The Rain. This is a love song. Somehow he managed to describe the different faces of love, and most importantly the lessons. His last line says it all, “May we learn from what we go through even if it means we grow apart.” This is my jam on R.N.N.L.T.
Road Life II brings in a more upbeat feel to the EP. It’s gangster and street life with this track. 3.T features on this track and it’s heat throughout. It’s a no love just thug life here, which is ironic given the EP title, but still a vibe.
NYL (Need Your Love) is about growth and self awareness. The biggest stress is realizing that we all need balance and love despite what others say. Deep down we all need love.
It all comes together in the end with Autumn Leaves, a positive vibe. “All the leaves fall but I’ll be back soon,…,I know I might break but I’ll never fold”. The energy we choose to be around us is what makes us. There’s light at the end, there’s hope. No matter the end you’ll win.
Jungle is a story teller. Real N**gas Need Love Too is a story. A work of art. It all fits and blends together well from start to finish. A piece of creative passion.
Jungle Hope’s you find yourself, find love and find balance through his music just as he did. Listen to Real N**gas Need Love Too here.
