Music Video Review: Thandy Dhlana – Butterfly

You can tell when someone is doing something that they love and Thandy Dhlana was in her element during the making of the butterfly music video.

Thandy Dhlana

Thandy Dhlana has released the music video for her song ‘Butterfly’ from the Inganekwane album. The video was produced by Fusion Media Group and it’s as pretty as the song. The song is an upbeat feel-good song which can uplift any mood. It’s full of joy and Thandy Dhlana brought joy with her chirpy personality. Her facial expression and blinding smile ooze happiness from the video. You’ll find yourself smiling without meaning to. My inner child was pleased to see the young girl in her fairy wings. It took me back to a place of innocence, the simpler times before adulting messed me up. Children are the brand ambassadors of pure unadulterated joy and happiness.

The video has Thandy Dhlana in a field of flowers which is standard procedure for a butterfly. The dancers in the video are dainty and elegant to fit the mood of the song, as if they are butterflies themselves. The bright and vibrant colours of the video made it one big and beautiful butterfly. The person who came up with the concept of that music video understood the assignment and did their homework.

Thandy Dhlana’s wardrobe in the music video is gorgeous and it fits her brand. She was both beautiful and colourful like the lyrics of the song. Her makeup was done beautifully and her nails were equally gorgeous. There is a lot that went into the making of this music video and the little details are what made this music video beautiful. You can tell when someone is doing something that they love and Thandy Dhlana was in her element during the making of the butterfly music video.

Born Nonhlanhla Mpala. I am an introvert & piscean, hell of a combination. Music is my first love and my source of therapy hence I found it fitting to give you my opinion on new music and maybe just maybe, convince you that you need music. Lover of chicken and the finer things in life. Oh and I almost forgot, I am a Feminist.
